Twenty five years ago we transferred to Madrid in a `piso´. This was a two bedroom apartment in the middle of the city which had just freed itself from the Franco dictatorship. If you went around the city it was as if you were a century behind time. It was also a treasure trove for antique hunters.

On Sundays it was exciting to visit the flea market. It abounded on antique books , pictures and furniture and if you’re lucky you could find a good buy. One of my friends found a bracelet made of coins.       On closer look the coins were those at the time of the Roman empire. Engraved thereon were the faces of       `Romulos and Remus´. When he went back to the states to have it examined indeed he found out it was authentically antique.
